Transportation in The Hague

You can discover The Hague by multiple modes of transport. The Hague has excellent public transport facilities. You will need an OV-Chipkaart to use public transport in The Hague; they are sold at train stations and at stores such as Albert Heijn, Bruna and Primera. If you do not have an OV-Chipkaart, you can purchase a day ticket for one day of unlimited travel at the train stations or at the VVV The Hague tourist information office.​ A reduced rate ticket for children is also available.

Another fun way to discover the city is by bicycle. The Hague city centre and the beach are very easy to reach by bicycle. The Hague has both numerous cycling paths and guarded bicycle parking facilities at various locations. You can also rent a The Hague City Bike at a number of locations in the city which you do not have to return to the same location.
